HAWKES BAY AREA WALKING AND TRAMPING TRACKS

A Frame Hut & Takapari Road Track
You can reach A Frame Hut from Tamaki Road end by following the track through podocarp then leatherwood forest to Takapari Road. From there you�ll follow a bulldozed road for 100 m to the hut.

From Comet Road End in Kaweka Forest Park you can take a 2-3 hour walk to historic Shutes Hut in Ruahine Forest Park, which was built in 1920 and used by first rabbiters and then by musterers.
